China’s Electronics Industry Ranks First in the World in 2018

According to the analysis report on the production trends of major countries in the global electronic industry released by the Korea Institute for the promotion of electronic information and communication industry on July 30, the output of China's electronic industry in 2018 was 717.266 billion US dollars, ranking first in the world, while the United States and South Korea ranked second and third respectively, Yonhap reported.
In the global electronics industry, China ranked first with 37.2%, followed by the United States with 12.6%, and South Korea with 8.8%.
Compared with five years ago, the output of China's electronics industry increased by 2.9%, the United States by 1%, and Japan by 2.3%, the report said.
In global electronic parts production, China still ranks first with 24.1%, followed by South Korea with 19.2%.
In wireless communication equipment, China, the United States, Vietnam, India and South Korea ranked in the top five. In terms of computer production, China, Mexico, the United States, Japan and South Korea ranked the top five.
